What they did
1) Prepare Python 3.11+, Ollama and roughly 8 GB RAM; obtain github.com/tharun-pandya/repu. In its folder, create and activate a Python virtual environment, run pip install -r requirements.txt and ollama pull gemma3:4b, and keep Ollama running. Start python -m uvicorn backend.app.main:app --host 127.0.0.1 --port 8000. 2) Export the WhatsApp chat without media, open http://127.0.0.1:8000 and upload its .txt file. Review the preview and run extraction. 3) Inspect each candidate's source quote; resolve AM/PM, ownership, uncertain dates and duplicates. Edit or dismiss incorrect tasks. 4) Confirm separately that each remaining task is real, yours, correctly dated and approved for export, then download its .ics or CSV.
Worth knowing
The hosted demo accepts fictional samples only. Real-chat extraction accuracy is unmeasured, attachments are ignored, and sessions disappear on restart.
