What they did

1) Prepare Git, Python 3.12 or newer, and a running OpenAI-compatible model endpoint with its base URL and model name. Clone `https://github.com/abdushakurob/pace-ai.git` and enter `pace-ai`. 2) In Google Cloud, enable the Calendar API, configure OAuth consent with your account as a test user, and create a Web application OAuth client. Add `http://127.0.0.1:7462/api/connect/google/callback` as its redirect URI. Export the client values as `PACE_GOOGLE_CLIENT_ID` and `PACE_GOOGLE_CLIENT_SECRET` in your shell. 3) Run `python3 -m venv .venv`, `.venv/bin/pip install -r requirements.txt`, then `.venv/bin/python pace-core/python/hub.py`. Open `http://127.0.0.1:7462/app`; under Connections, connect Google Calendar and select Sync today. 4) In Settings, select OpenAI-compatible and enter the endpoint and model name; for local Ollama, the base URL is `http://localhost:11434/v1`. Under Today, choose Tell Pace and describe the deadline and required study duration. 5) Inspect the proposed time against your commitments. Select Use this plan when it fits, then check the resulting focus block in Calendar.

Worth knowing

This local setup uses your own Google OAuth application. Pace is a personal workspace without multi-user accounts; the model endpoint must be reachable by its Hub.
