What they did
1) Have Python 3.11+, uv, Node 20+, npm, and a Groq API key. Clone https://github.com/iadii/stillroom, copy .env.example to .env, and set GROQ_API_KEY. 2) Run uv sync in backend. In frontend, run npm ci and npm run build. Start the backend with uv run uvicorn stillroom.api:app --host 127.0.0.1 --port 8000 and open http://127.0.0.1:8000. 3) Upload a readable PDF, TXT, Markdown, or CSV file and press Analyze. Review the proposed title, category, date, and tags beside the extracted original text and supporting quote. 4) Correct the proposal, explicitly approve it, then archive the uploaded copy. Inspect the activity trail to confirm the move. 5) Use Undo if the filing decision was wrong; the file returns to the inbox and needs approval again.
How it went
The recorded fictional garden-note demo shows live classification, a title correction, approval, filing, and Undo, with six events recorded.
Worth knowing
Analyze sends extracted text to Groq. Scanned PDFs need OCR first; analysis uses at most 30,000 characters. The original upload directory is not reorganized.
