Mirror personal appointments into private Outlook availability blocks

At a glance

Hector Flores connected separate Copilot CLI assistants so personal calendar changes become private work-calendar blocks. This workflow is listed under Calendar, Automation, Agent Coordination.

What they did

1) Prepare two Copilot CLI sessions: one authorized for personal Google Calendar and one for Outlook through Microsoft Graph. With Node.js 22+, clone github.com/htekdev/agent-mesh into ~/.copilot/extensions/agent-mesh/ and restart both sessions. 2) Define work-life-sync to check Google authorization, fetch the next three days, retain future weekday appointments and relevant all-day leave, then compare them with a stored Google-event-to-Outlook-block mapping. 3) Send the work session structured CREATE, UPDATE or DELETE requests carrying a stable block key, start/end times and timezone. Use generic personal categories, private sensitivity, out-of-office status, no attendees and no online meeting. 4) Apply changes through Graph, update the mapping and log the run; skip unchanged events. Schedule weekday runs at 6, 9, 12, 15 and 18 hours in America/Chicago.

How it went

The author reports using the one-way sync for rescheduled and cancelled personal appointments.

Worth knowing

This requires working calendar integrations; expired authorization stops processing, and an offline work session delays queued changes.
