What they did
1) Use a OneDrive for Business account with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license and access to the quote documents. Put the quotes you want to compare in OneDrive; this workflow works with document files rather than images or videos. 2) Sign in to the OneDrive website and select between two and five quote files. Open More actions, then Copilot, then Compare files. 3) Read the comparison panel and ask a follow-up focused on the purchase decision, such as differences in quoted cost and time to complete. Name the details you need rather than relying only on a broad summary. 4) Check those reported differences against the selected quotes before using them in your purchasing notes; continue the same chat to clarify any missing comparison.
Worth knowing
The comparison is limited to five selected files. Microsoft notes that Copilot in OneDrive features are rolling out and may not be available to every user.
