What they did
1) Install and authenticate Claude Code, then open a terminal in a writable Obsidian vault. In the vault's CLAUDE.md, describe the inbox, Projects, Areas, Resources, and Archive folders, along with wikilink syntax and any task-plugin conventions you use. 2) Create .claude/commands/inbox.md. In plain English, instruct it to inventory inbox notes, inspect the existing folder structure, and propose a destination, reason, and alternatives for each note. Require approval before each move. 3) Run claude from the vault directory and invoke /inbox. Read each recommendation, choose the proposed destination or an alternative, or leave the note in the inbox. 4) Let approved moves proceed individually. For notes relevant to several places, use a Resources home with links from the other locations, then inspect the filed notes and links in Obsidian.
Worth knowing
This is a custom command the reader creates, not a built-in /inbox feature. The author's folder rules are specific to their PARA vault, and the command deliberately waits for a decision on each file.
