What they did
1) Open Claude and collect the month's work projects, personal commitments, fitness goals, social plans, and overdue tasks. Include working hours, priorities, and when your energy rises or falls. 2) Ask for a monthly plan organized into weeks, placing focused work, errands, and administrative tasks around those constraints. Mention visitors or other commitments that need a lighter week. 3) Inspect the distribution before scheduling it manually. Ask for genuinely unscheduled space if the first version fills every gap. 4) Adjust the schedule during the week when actual fatigue or changing commitments make the original allocation unrealistic. Keep the revised plan as the schedule you follow.
How it went
The author found calendar blocking useful, but still needed more midweek adjustments than expected.
Worth knowing
The initial draft was too tightly scheduled; blank time had to be requested explicitly.
