What they did
1) Install Spentrip on iOS or Android and enable access to its premium receipt-scanning feature. Create a trip with its destination, dates and reporting currency. 2) Tap the add-expense button and choose the camera, an existing receipt photo or a PDF invoice. Wait for AI extraction to finish. 3) Compare the extracted merchant, date, currency, items and amounts with the receipt. Correct mistakes and select the intended trip before saving. 4) Open the trip to review its expenses and spending total; export the records as CSV when you need a separate travel ledger.
Worth knowing
The trip currency is fixed when the trip is created. Rescanning an expense replaces manual corrections, so inspect the new extraction before relying on it.
