What they did
1) Open Claude with web search available; enable Web Search if your interface has that toggle. Prepare your departure city, travel month, candidate destinations, and decision priorities. 2) Ask for a side-by-side spreadsheet comparing travel logistics, seasonal conditions, food, activities, accommodation, and daily costs. Request official tourism links, rating explanations, and formulas for trip totals. 3) Ask for all destinations to remain visible together, with heat maps, small thumbnails, and frozen headers. Have Claude check column widths, row heights, and image placement before finishing. 4) Open the spreadsheet and inspect its links, calculations, and layout. 5) Follow up with your actual priorities, such as placing extra weight on culture and food, and ask Claude to revise the weighted scores. Use the revised comparison to discuss the shortlist with your group.
Worth knowing
The Academy example is a planning demonstration. Its destination ratings and estimates are research outputs, not confirmed bookings.
