What they did
1) Connect the email account holding the airline correspondence to Muse. Collect the airline name, affected reservation, cancellation/rebooking history and the specific charge you believe remains unpaid. 2) Describe the issue and ask Muse to investigate it. In this case, SAS changed one flight in a six-person trip, and prepaid meals appeared to have disappeared when the traveler rebooked. 3) Have Muse search the airline's messages across the original change date and subsequent correspondence, including refund notifications mixed into other booking updates. 4) Open the returned messages and check whether they already confirm reimbursement. Use that evidence to decide whether a new claim is necessary; keep the relevant confirmations with the booking records.
How it went
Muse found emails confirming the meal fees had been refunded on the original flight-change date. The traveler had overlooked those notifications.
Worth knowing
This was discovery of an earlier refund, not a newly won reimbursement.
