What they did
1) Create a Claude Project. Prepare verified career dates, achievements, and metrics; a file of roles you never held and claims needing clarification; and achievement context per employer. 2) Build grouped bullet libraries from previous resumes and verify the facts. Upload a sample resume solely for layout. 3) Add instructions prioritizing verified files, prohibiting invented experience, distinguishing collaboration from management, and requiring questions for missing facts. 4) Supply the company, job title, and description. Request a candid fit assessment, concern areas, and a tailored draft using supported achievements. 5) Check the draft against the fact files and edit its wording. Correct ambiguous project references before using it for another application.
How it went
The author reports reducing tailoring from about 90 minutes to 20 minutes per resume.
Worth knowing
The initial reference-file setup took two to three afternoons. The author still edits every draft before submission.
