What they did
1) Sign in to NotebookLM, now documented as Gemini Notebook, with a Google account. Create a notebook and add the papers, articles, or notes you want to understand. 2) In Studio, open Reports and choose Study guide. Read its open-ended questions and use them to identify a difficult concept rather than memorizing a generated summary. 3) Write your own explanation of that concept as if teaching a beginner. Mark the parts you cannot explain clearly. 4) Ask the notebook questions about those gaps. Follow its citation markers back to the relevant document passages and read the context before revising your answer. 5) Simplify the explanation using clear language and useful analogies, then explain it aloud or to another person. Save your corrected explanation as a notebook note and repeat the cycle until you can explain the concept coherently.
Worth knowing
This uses the article's study-guide and Feynman-method branches. Source citations support checking answers; they do not guarantee that every generated claim is correct.
