What they did
1) Import template 16947 from n8n's template library. Create a Google Sheet with asset, owner_email, purchase_date, warranty_months, vendor, value, and status headers; use unique asset names and valid dates. 2) Connect Google Sheets, Gmail, Slack, Todoist, and an OpenAI chat-model credential. Select your spreadsheet in Read Asset Register and Mark As Expired; in the latter, configure matching on asset and write status as warranty expired. Choose the Slack channel and Todoist project. 3) Set the workflow timezone, confirm the daily 08:30 trigger, and adjust the default high-value threshold of 2000 if necessary. 4) Run against sample rows: expired assets should update the register; deadlines within seven days should create an alert and task; the later thirty-day band emails the owner. Higher-value items in that band also generate a Gmail negotiation draft. 5) Check each output before activation, and review and complete a negotiation draft before sending it yourself.
Worth knowing
The imported expired-row node leaves its mapping unconfigured. Daily warning branches have no saved notification history, so repeated alerts or tasks are possible.
