What they did
1) Start a Claude conversation and describe one concept you cannot apply, what you already understand, and the exact point where your reasoning breaks. The tutorial uses base-rate reasoning. No file is needed for diagnosis; attach a CSV or XLSX only if you want a workbook using your own data. 2) Ask Claude to question you before explaining, and answer the diagnostic questions so it can identify the misconception. Explain which parts of the resulting explanation make sense and which still fail. 3) Ask for an interactive lesson, an application workbook, and a map of related concepts. Work through the lesson with different inputs rather than only reading its explanation. 4) Download the workbook and recount one result from the original data. If it differs, tell Claude the discrepancy and request a corrected calculation. Use the concept map to choose the next lesson.
Worth knowing
The source is a worked teaching example. A personalized workbook requires your data; the diagnostic conversation itself does not.
