What they did
1) Have Otter installed and signed in, with import and transcription allowance remaining. Keep the recording in a supported format such as M4A, MP3, WAV or MP4, no larger than 5 GB. 2) In Apple Voice Memos or another recording app, share the recording to Otter. Optionally rename it and choose its destination; the default is My Conversations. Tap Import. 3) Let the upload finish before closing the app or letting the device sleep. Once uploaded, transcription continues on Otter's servers. 4) Open the completed conversation to read its transcript, summary, action items and outline when available. Alternatively, import from Otter's desktop homepage using Import and Browse, then follow the same processing and review sequence.
Worth knowing
Imports consume the plan's recording and transcription allowances. Noise, overlapping speakers and low recording volume can reduce accuracy; summaries and action items do not establish that the transcript is error-free.
