What they did
1) Open Cowork in Claude Desktop with a paid account and grant access to a claim folder containing photos, emails, PDFs and expenses. Ask it to create document, image and expense folders, a claim log and a contents inventory. 2) Set standing rules: use your legal name, document defensible replacement costs, and flag missing evidence. Use editable .docx records. 3) Drop full-resolution files into an unsorted subfolder. Ask Cowork to read each file, rename it with an ISO date and event description, file it, and reconcile it against the existing log. 4) Review proposed duplicate removals and conflicting dates before approving changes. Continue adding evidence and updating the same records as the claim develops.
How it went
Cowork flagged an inspection-date discrepancy, which the author confirmed and corrected. The claim remained open.
Worth knowing
The author encountered intermittent Drive syncing and could not edit native Google Docs through the connector.
