What they did
1) On an Android phone or tablet, install the Gemini mobile app and update the Google app. Sign in with a self-managed personal Google account or a work or school account allowed to use Gemini Apps. This walkthrough is for adult users. 2) Open Gemini and tap Live, or swipe left. Complete the first-use instructions, then explain that you are preparing to interview a podcast guest and ask for preparation tips. 3) Talk through the advice, add guest context, and interrupt to clarify or change direction. Use Hold to pause and turn off the microphone, then tap Live to resume. 4) Tap End or swipe right to finish and review the transcript. To continue later, reopen that chat and tap Live again.
Worth knowing
The documented mobile workflow requires the app rather than Gemini on the web. Gems cannot be used in Gemini Live, and feature updates roll out gradually.
