What they did

1) Have the photo in Canva's Images library and access to Magic Eraser; Canva lists the tool under its Pro, Teams and Education photo-editing features. From Projects, open All projects and then Images. 2) Hover over the photo, open More, and choose Edit image. Under Tools, select Magic Eraser. 3) Choose Click to select the unwanted object, or Brush to paint over it with an adjusted brush size. Use Deselect if the selection is wrong. 4) Select Erase and wait for processing. Hold Compare to inspect the result against the original; reset the edits if necessary. 5) Select Save. Canva stores the edited photo separately in Images and the Uploads folder.

Worth knowing

Canva says zoom and brush-stroke undo/redo do not work while in Brush mode. If an object remains, its guide suggests erasing a slightly larger surrounding area.
