What they did
1) Have ContextGate and Google accounts ready. Create a Gmail label `Paper Trail/Inbox` and a sender filter that applies it to receipts. 2) In ContextGate's Workspace Assistant, request an agent watching that label; approve Gmail, Drive, and Sheets connections. Specify PDF extraction of vendor, date, amount, currency, category, VAT, and confidence, with categories Office, Software, Travel, Meals, or Other. 3) Route confidence scores of at least 0.85 to a Ready to post sheet tab; send others to Needs review with explanations. File PDFs under `Paper Trail/Originals/<YYYY-MM>` and relabel messages Processed or Review. Require an external label gate before inference and the eight necessary Google actions, using Claude Sonnet 4.6. 4) Test labeled receipts, inspect both tabs and archived PDFs, and resolve uncertain rows before using the ledger.
How it went
Four test receipts reached the ready tab; a fifth with an unclear date reached review.
