What they did
1) Have the job description ready and open a ChatGPT conversation with voice available. Paste the description and ask it to act as the interviewer for that role. 2) Answer its interview questions aloud using events from your own career. Ask for feedback on the answers, then repeat the practice with revisions rather than requesting a script to memorize. 3) Continue until you have three or four real stories you can explain comfortably. Carry those stories into the interview and adapt them to the questions asked, rather than reciting the model's wording.
How it went
The author reports better subsequent interviews after switching to practiced stories. An earlier interviewer had said her memorized answers sounded too scripted.
Worth knowing
The article also describes outreach and portfolio work; its hiring outcomes cannot be attributed to voice practice alone.
