What they did

1) Use an eligible Google Workspace edition or Google AI plan and hold the meeting in one supported spoken language. If Host Management is enabled, the host must start note-taking. 2) Join the Meet call on a computer and select Take notes for me at the top right. 3) Before starting, open its settings, choose the meeting language and note length, and set recipients. Hosts can choose all invited guests, internal invitees, or hosts and co-hosts only. 4) Start note-taking and complete any participant-consent prompts required by the administrator. Use Summary so far to catch up during the call. 5) After the meeting, open the generated notes through the recap email or Calendar event. Review the summary and next steps before using them for follow-up.

Worth knowing

The recipient setting refers to invited guests, including people who did not attend. The guide says mixed-language meetings are unsupported.
