What they did

1) Open LingoChunk's Try page and use a provided recording in the language you are studying, or supply your own study audio through the app. Its public examples include material from LibriVox and FSI courses. 2) Work from the transcript with word timestamps. Select the first and last word of a phrase to make a bounded listening loop. 3) Set the gap and repeat count so you have time to speak the phrase between plays. For a difficult passage, select its audio fragment and use the AI grammar or meaning-explanation prompt. 4) Return to the same loop and practice saying it against the original recording. The app also groups vocabulary examples by base word for flashcard study.
