What they did
1) Use supported Excel with a paid Claude account and permission to install Office add-ins. Install the official Anthropic add-in from Microsoft AppSource, activate it in Excel, and sign in. The current listing is Claude for Microsoft 365. 2) Open the tutorial's sample workbook or a workbook containing the data you need to clean, then open the Claude sidebar. 3) Ask Claude to standardize the dataset and remove duplicate records, identifying the relevant sheet or range and the cleanup you want. Inspect the affected cells before moving on. 4) Ask it to identify and fix broken formulas; inspect its explanation and the repaired formulas. 5) Request a summary and charts from the cleaned data, then review the resulting workbook and save it. The video separates cleanup, formula repair, and reporting into successive demonstrations.
Worth knowing
The video is sponsored by Anthropic. Current installation requirements were checked against Anthropic's documentation; the demonstration does not establish a measured time saving.
