What they did
1) Use an Immich v3.2.0 web library with photos already uploaded, smart-search indexing available, the relevant person recognized and named, and any desired tags assigned. Location and date filters need corresponding asset metadata. 2) Open the search modal and enter the visual scene in the context field; the demonstrated query is Swimming. 3) Add the person filter, date range, location and tag. The example combines Jason, the last 30 days, BC in Canada and the Long Beach tag. 4) Run the combined search and inspect the matching assets. Use the advanced filters for camera, lens, favorite, archive or album membership when further narrowing is needed.
Worth knowing
The announcement distinguishes the new server API from the web interface: some API combinations were still planned for later UI exposure.
