What they did
1) Start with a booked Amex Travel itinerary and give Grok Bot access to the booking, support chat and calendar. Identify the traveler who will not fly; the other group members are staying on the trip. 2) Ask the bot to use Amex Travel's web chat to confirm TSA PreCheck on the tickets. 3) Have it cancel the named traveler's flight and ask support whether the cancellation returns points or creates travel credit. 4) Obtain the applicable expiry date from the support exchange. 5) Have the bot place reminders across the year in the calendar so the credit can be used before it expires; check that the cancellation and reminders refer to the intended traveler.
How it went
The author reports that the bot completed the chat tasks and scheduled reminders for credit expiring in one year.
Worth knowing
The post does not settle whether the reimbursement was points or credit; it describes checking both possibilities.
