What they did
1) Choose an ancestral couple and collect their saved birth, marriage, census and immigration records plus relevant photographs. Create a NotebookLM notebook and upload those materials as sources. 2) In Family Historian, generate a descendant chart and family group sheets; add them too. Export each person's Timeline Report from Family Tree Maker as a PDF and upload it. 3) Ask NotebookLM to use the timeline reports and uploaded sources to tell the couple's life story. 4) Generate a Biographical Narrative under Reports and copy it into Word. Use Mind Map entries for family members to request additional narratives and append them. 5) Review the text against the records, remove errors and unwanted detail, and assemble the corrected material into pages or printouts for relatives.
How it went
The author shared family web pages, and relatives discovered previously unknown details about names, marriage and employment.
Worth knowing
The infographic had typos and omitted details; the slide deck's map was inaccurate. Review generated visuals too.
