What they did
1) Open Google Maps on an Android phone or tablet where Ask Maps is available. Have your starting point, destination airport and required arrival time ready. 2) Tap Ask Maps beneath the search bar. Type or speak a question identifying the pickup destination, when you must arrive and any stop you need along the way, such as buying flowers. Tap Send. 3) Review the proposed route and timing, then ask follow-up questions to clarify the stop or compare alternatives. 4) Open the response's source links and check important information in more than one place before using the plan. To revisit it later, open Ask Maps, select History and load the saved conversation.
Worth knowing
Google warns that AI responses can be wrong. The documented conversation is planning assistance, not evidence that a pickup or purchase was completed.
