What they did
1) Read the book and save your own notes in a text file. Create a NotebookLM notebook and add those notes as a source. 2) Add YouTube talks in which the author discusses the same book. Generate a briefing document for each video. 3) Select the relevant sources and ask a focused question about the topic. Compare the answers and generated briefings with the book and your notes. 4) When a briefing identifies a video worth deeper attention, read its transcript. For readability, ask NotebookLM to organize the raw transcript into paragraphs and sections, add punctuation and speaker labels, and preserve the original word order. Use the organized text for the next study pass.
How it went
Richardson describes using this process while reading Seth Godin's Strategy book.
Worth knowing
His workflow starts with reading the original material; the generated notes supplement that reading.
