What they did
1) Have clothing photos, your style preferences and a ChatGPT account able to create a custom GPT. Use GPT-4o to describe the garments. 2) Ask o1 to shorten each description to one sentence and assign an item ID and category. Keep the organized results in a separate inventory file. 3) Attach that inventory to a styling GPT and give it your rules and examples of liked and disliked outfits. 4) Request an ensemble for an item or occasion. Refine it through photos and specific feedback; ask it to reread the inventory if it invents items or repeats only recent ones. 5) Save each accepted outfit in Notes with its descriptive name, complete garment and accessory list, tags and a reference photo.
How it went
The author reports dressing from saved combinations in 3–4 minutes, compared with earlier 30–60-minute outfit experiments.
Worth knowing
Long conversations and truncated inventory files caused missing or invented clothing. The inventory requires maintenance.
