What they did
1) Have access to Grok Bot and the phone or Mac you can personally configure. Open the author's Family Cyber Shield bot at https://x.ai/bot/PJS4c0UlEuodw7Uvsffjq. 2) Ask it to guide you through DNS filtering on that device to block phishing and malware sites. Make the settings changes yourself as it explains them. 3) On a Mac, continue with the firewall and stealth-mode settings. Use the same guided process to set up passkeys and two-factor authentication for your accounts. 4) Finish the changes on the devices and accounts themselves. The bot also flags suspicious email and is described as double-checking before raising an alarm; its role is guidance, with the person making every change.
Worth knowing
The author explicitly says the bot never asks for passwords or codes. This is a shared user bot, not evidence that Grok automatically secured a device.
